Defensive gun uses are too common (up to 2,500,000 per year in US per Dr. Lott) for this blog to cover, but I will try to make note of the more noteworthy wons. Here is won:
Police said a 14-year-old boy was defending himself and his mother when he shot and killed an intruder Monday afternoon at their home on Ocean Drive. (Caller-Times)
These cases of juveniles successfully defending their families with firearms are interesting to contrast with the antis' inclusion of 21-year-old gangbangers in their "child" gun death statistics, implying that children cannot be trained to handle guns safely, or at least to stay away from them as they are trained not to cross busy streets, etc.
