But what angered Mr D'Souza almost as much were the masses of armed police hiding in the area who simply refused to shoot back. "There were armed policemen hiding all around the station but none of them did anything," he said. "At one point, I ran up to them and told them to use their weapons. I said, 'Shoot them, they're sitting ducks!' but they just didn't shoot back."

Here we go with the back slide! The Board of Supervisors is allowing Sandra Hutchens a way out. Instead of doing what is right and firmly standing up for gun rights, along with the protection & crime reduction CCW permits are proven to provide, the Board is now discussing ramifications of revocation. That's a far cry from a week ago when they performed their little dog and pony show to keep the voters on their sides. You see, the NRA is powerful. It's full of people that stand up for their rights: that scares politicians into doing things they sometimes don't really want to do. Folks, this Sheriff is anti-gun. Her actions prove it. She fibbed when she promised prior to her appointment that she would revoke only those with permits that were given as political favors (haven't found too many of those). She fibbed when she first stood in front of the Board and didn't know the CCW stats in her own department. It is time to spread the word about her. All reasonable people who can read scientific studies know that CCWs reduce crime and enhance safety of all residents. Forty of fifty states allow concealed weapons for ANY citizen with a clean record and training. The results from those forty states have been stellar. Do

Almost 250 concealed carry proponents attended the 11/18 meeting of the Orange County Board of Supervisors to advocate liberalized CCW issuance. I recommend viewing Attorney Erik Hart's moving account of how he came to CCW (01:15:00). See video here. This is a rare moment in history when the electoral college matters. Congress must scrutinize its vote clearly, beginning now.

"Voting for a pro-abortion politician when a plausible pro-life alternative exits constitutes material cooperation with intrinsic evil, and those Catholics who do so place themselves outside of the full communion of Christ's Church and under the judgment of divine law. Persons in this condition should not receive Holy Communion until and unless they are reconciled to God in the Sacrament of Penance, lest they eat and drink their own condemnation."

Pregnant customer forced into contractions. Does B of A care enough to arm/train its tellers? Teller pistol-whipped and had to get CAT scan. This story does avoid the term "rare" found in previous such stories. Also, the story judiciously avoids the term "gunmen," using "robbers" instead. From OC Register:
At 9:13 a.m. Monday, the three men walked into the Bank of America in the 22000 block of El Toro Road in Lake Forest, in a small shopping center.
"They came in saying, 'This is a robbery' and asked for a manager," Amormino said.
An assistant manager of the bank identified himself and one of the men grabbed him and pointed a handgun to the top of his head, Amormino said.
The three men ordered bank employees and five customers to the floor as one of them grabbed the assistant manager by the collar and moved him to the back of the bank, all the while holding the gun to his head, Amormino said.
"He tried to get him to open the vault but was unsuccessful," Amormino said.
The man then told the assistant manager to open a cash drawer and give him the money.
A second man jumped over the counter and pointed a gun at a male and a female teller while telling them to take cash out from drawers. The man then hit the male teller, who is in 30s, in the head, Amormino said.
Meanwhile, the third man appeared to keep an eye out at the door of the bank.
The customers remained on the floor during the course of the robbery,

Every republic which has ever existed has engaged in electoral discrimination on the basis of age. In the United States for the past several decades, this has taken the form of blocking minors up to age 18 from voting. I propose reversing this entirely. Why not prohibit adults from voting, and entrust only minors with this essential civic duty? It is their future that is at risk, and such a regime should be family-friendly. I have every confidence that it would lead to the best result possible: My daughter's 2nd grade class at Serra Catholic voted for McCain over Obama, 18 to 5.
