WND: Unarmed victims beaten, burned to death

The right to keep and bear arms is not just for citizens.  Self-defense is a universal right for all, including foreigners.  Even illegal aliens, as long as they are not violent criminals, should not be denied this most important right. WND: unarmed victims beaten, burned to death.

Kyiv Post: Ukrainian directors working on films about genocide in Ukraine

Link: Kyiv Post. Ukrainian directors at work on Holodomor films.

As Ukraine observes the 75-year commemoration of the Holodomor this year, two film projects are under production to throw spotlight on the Soviet-imposed famine-genocide of 1932-33 that killed millions of Ukrainians.
....
“Kobzar” is the fictional story of an American boy who gets stranded in Ukraine in the early 1930s and ends up as a guide for a blind kobzar, one of the  traveling bards who played the bandura, a traditional Ukrainian instrument. He survives after witnessing NKVD executions in 1934.
....
“The story unfolds against the backdrop of the Holodomor, but it is a story of how a young boy survived in the most tragic and dire circumstances,” said Peter Borisow, one of the film’s backers and president of the Hollywood Trident Foundation, an organization founded in 2001 that connects professionals working in the entertainment industry interested in Ukrainian affairs.
....
Part of the problems is that many Ukrainians themselves deny the Holodomor was genocide against Ukrainians. The Party of the Regions and Communist Party of Ukraine, both supported by millions of Ukrainians, voted against recognizing the Holodomor as genocide in parliament.

Meanwhile, the Jewish people thrived in tolerant, Western societies, where they developed an extensive record of the Holocaust and financed its memory through museums, libraries, and films in particular.

Since 2000 in fact, more than 40 documentaries and 20 feature films depicting the Jewish Holocaust were produced worldwide; several hundreds were produced since World War II.

Shedding light on the Holodomor has been gaining pace through efforts by Ukraine’s president Viktor Yushchenko, who has urged the international community to recognize the catastrophe as genocide.

LA Gang F13 Accused of Targeting Blacks

Will Baca issue them CCWs?  Link: My Way News - LA Gang F13 Accused of Targeting Blacks.

There were even instances in which Florencia 13 leaders ordered killings of black gangsters and then, when the intended victim couldn't be located, said "Well, shoot any black you see," Los Angeles County Sheriff Lee Baca said. "In certain cases some murders were just purely motivated on killing a black person," Baca said.

U.N. Finds Fraud, Mismanagement in Peacekeeping - washingtonpost.com

Fraud, corruption, mismanagement...when applied to UN "peacekeeping" these are euphemisms for genocide.

A U.N. task force has uncovered a pervasive pattern of corruption and mismanagement involving hundreds of millions of dollars in contracts for fuel, food, construction and other materials and services used by U.N. peacekeeping operations, which are in the midst of their largest expansion in 15 years.

LA Times' Homicide Map Graphically Depicts Ethnic Cleansing in LA

This constantly updated "homicide map" identifies victims by race, graphically depicting the current ethnic cleansing in LA.  We recall that gun control had its modern origins with Democrats' KKK and Jim Crow, yet the LA Sheriff still tightly restricts CCW issuance.

WorldNetDaily: KKK's 1st targets were Republicans

Link: WorldNetDaily: KKK's 1st targets were Republicans.

The original targets of the Ku Klux Klan were Republicans, both black and white, according to a new television program and book, which describe how the Democrats started the KKK and for decades harassed the GOP with lynchings and threats.

The NRA is the nation's oldest civil rights organization, and we know that gun control in this country began mainly as a result of efforts to control blacks.  So this makes sense.

A south Los Angeles Latino street gang targeted African-American gang rivals and other blacks in a campaign of neighborhood "cleansing," federal prosecutors say. Alleged leaders and foot soldiers in the Hispanic gang Florencia 13, also called F13, are being arraigned this week on charges stemming from a pair of federal indictments that allege that the gang kept a tight grip on its turf by shooting members of a rival gang—and sometimes random black civilians. The "most disturbing aspect" of the federal charges was that "innocent citizens … ended up being shot simply because of the color of their skin," U.S. Attorney Thomas O'Brien told reporters in announcing the indictments.

Armenian Christians Disarmed Under Sharia Law Prior to Genocide

Link: Dave Kopel & Paul Gallant, & Joanne D. Eisen on Armenian Genocide on National Review Online.

Hitler reminded his generals that “nobody remembers the Armenians,” and he worked assiduously to disarm his own genocide victims more thoroughly than the Turks had done. When we do remember the Armenians, let us remember that the difference between life and death was often the possession of arms to resist mass murder by government.

Rwanda: Where did all those machetes come from?

We all know 800,000 Rwandans were killed by (mostly) machetes, but who armed the Rwandan militias with all those machetes?  China, of course:

Note 13: Gourevitch, 93. Between 1990 and 1994 the Habyarimana government imported massive shipments of machetes from China and rifles and grenades from France and distributed them to these militias.

(The same China that seeks and obtains exemption from the international gun control it advocates.)

So THAT'S Why All Those People Are Dying...

The appropriately-named UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon (Korean for "lunatic gun ban") says that climate change is behind the killing in Darfur.

Given the conclusively demonstrable link between gun bans and genocide in the last century; the UN's sickening support of genocide in recent years; and its current efforts toward a global gun ban, isn't this statement of Ban's just a tad insulting to the victims?

(Maybe this is just another test, in a long series of tests, to see how much lunacy we are willing to put up with?)

I pray for climate change in New York.

Can small arms be a check on government?

Link: The Volokh Conspiracy - James Madison, Gun Nut:#171608.  Excerpt from an anonymous comment on Volokh Conspiracy, responding to a contention that small arms could not effectively check the power of a better-armed government:

Small arms such as a single-shot deringer, a semi-automatic pistol, .22 revolver, a bolt action rifle, a modern military type rifle, heck, couldn't even a simple knife be considered a potential check on government, or at least on those who govern? Looking at history it would appear to me that small arms are quite capable of being a “check” on those who govern.

Hitler & gun control

Link: Philadelphia Daily News | 12/05/2006 | Letters | Hitler & gun control. Excerpt:

"Once Hitler had the general populace duped, he didn't need to take away their guns. If anything, it was too many guns and not enough rational thought that allowed Germany to descend into the madness that was the Nazi era."

This gentleman's letter misses the point: it's the victims that need guns, not merely the "general populace," which, as he correctly points out, descended into madness.  The Jews mounted a brave and effective resistance in the Warsaw Ghetto uprising, with only a few pistols.  Imagine what they could have done if better armed and trained.  See Jews for the Preservation of Firearms Ownership for more info on the Warsaw uprising, and how the Nazi's perfected the gun control they inherited, inventing handgun control and using it to disarm Jews and anyone opposed to the Party.

This rationale for the need to arm victims can be applied to arming teachers.  The teacher in the classroom, who may be a victim herself, will engage more quickly than an armed guard or police officer (remember Columbine?).
