Genocide is an ugly subject that needs to be shoved into every generation’s face because the deliberate extermination of some targeted group by their own government occurs somewhere in the world during every generation. What does not need to be pushed in conjunction with that awareness is the propaganda of pacifist victimhood and the exoneration by omission of the most prolific mass murderers because of an affinity for their ideologies. One spreads the false perception that resistance is futile, that none of those marked for death can or have saved themselves by fighting back. The other avoids all mention of the political dogma solely responsible for most mass murder. Screamers is a documentary that does all of the above.

The Warsaw ghetto revolt is a reminder that, when push comes to shove, everyone — not just the duly constituted authorities — must take responsibility for the safety and security of the communities in which we live. It is also a reminder that heroism is not a virtue only for military professionals. But most importantly, it is a reminder that evil must be resisted when it appears, not merely when its triumph is inevitable. Dying well is better than dying badly

Fellow Californians--while Congress enslaves our children with socialist environmental and health programs, remember California Highway Patrol's participation in New Orleans mass gun confiscation - body-slamming an elderly lady to take her revolver, as in this video:
Remember the occupation of churches, troops going door to door with M-16's (not at low ready but POINTED IN), troops ruefully contemplating the need to shoot fellow Americans, etc., as in this video:
NRANews.com recounts the injustice in this video:
A test run for the main event, perhaps to suppress opposition to global governance? Before 2005, only a "right-wing nutjob" could be worried about mass gun confiscation. Well, it actually happened and elite institutions have done a pretty good job of keeping you from finding out.
Who among us supports socialism in word and/or deed? In revolutionary times, Americans came up with a humane (no permanent injury) way of punishing British loyalists - TAR AND FEATHERS. Short of resorting to violence, how can WE (individually, locally) at least shun these socialists and deny them position and power to enslave our children?
Driving up and down the I-5 you can't ignore all the roadside signs protesting how another farm has been killed by Congress. Whether by design or not, we are losing the nation's main breadbasket.
» Fish or Famine — TONIGHT! The Great American Blog « FOXNews.com.
In turn, farmers are making tough decisions. They are losing their farms (in some circumstances third generation farms) and forced to fire the workers. Food banks can't keep shelves stocked because of all the needy families and eventually, farmers say, you and I will feel the effects. We will be forced to eat fruits, veggies and nuts from other countries (with few regulations, pesticides, etc).
Consider that Ukraine was the main breadbasket of Europe until Stalin's forced collectivization of farms created an artificial famine killing 7 to 10 million people. Now consider all that against the backdrop of the current healthcare "debate" and the shocking speed at which the current occupant of the white house is taking us down the road to serfdom. Should food be considered a basic human right? God help us if it ever is. Video of the Holodomor Genocide in Ukraine:

Stunning admission, stunning lapse in reasoning.
WND: Ginsburg: I thought Roe was to rid undesirables.
Question: Are you talking about the distances women have to travel because in parts of the country, abortion is essentially unavailable, because there are so few doctors and clinics that do the procedure? And also, the lack of Medicaid for abortions for poor women?
Ginsburg: Yes, the ruling about that surprised me. [Harris v. McRae – in 1980 the court upheld the Hyde Amendment, which forbids the use of Medicaid for abortions.] Frankly I had thought that at the time Roe was decided, there was concern about population growth and particularly growth in populations that we don't want to have too many of. So that Roe was going to be then set up for Medicaid funding for abortion. Which some people felt would risk coercing women into having abortions when they didn't really want them. But when the court decided McRae, the case came out the other way. And then I realized that my perception of it had been altogether wrong.

World Examiner awards its prestigious, microscopic W.Exie (Serqet, depicted at left with crocodile on head) award, for best "Guns and the Right to Life" picture of the year to the movie "Defiance" starring Daniel Craig.
Seriously, this film is highly recommended, brilliant on many levels as it illustrates family loyalty, the need to bear arms in protection of life, dignity of women, and even dignity of the unborn. Tremendous (all the more because it's TRUE) story of how the Bielski brothers saved thousands of fellow Jews and trained them to fight against the Nazis. (I've heard of Jews fighting back in the Warsaw ghetto, but had not heard of the Bielski brothers and their fellow partisans, who fought in Byelorussia.)
The film is a MUST SEE for anyone reading this blog. See trailers here. And here:

Link: Kyiv Post. Ukrainian directors at work on Holodomor films.
As Ukraine observes the 75-year commemoration of the Holodomor this year, two film projects are under production to throw spotlight on the Soviet-imposed famine-genocide of 1932-33 that killed millions of Ukrainians.
....
“Kobzar” is the fictional story of an American boy who gets stranded in Ukraine in the early 1930s and ends up as a guide for a blind kobzar, one of the traveling bards who played the bandura, a traditional Ukrainian instrument. He survives after witnessing NKVD executions in 1934.
....
“The story unfolds against the backdrop of the Holodomor, but it is a story of how a young boy survived in the most tragic and dire circumstances,” said Peter Borisow, one of the film’s backers and president of the Hollywood Trident Foundation, an organization founded in 2001 that connects professionals working in the entertainment industry interested in Ukrainian affairs.
....
Part of the problems is that many Ukrainians themselves deny the Holodomor was genocide against Ukrainians. The Party of the Regions and Communist Party of Ukraine, both supported by millions of Ukrainians, voted against recognizing the Holodomor as genocide in parliament.
Meanwhile, the Jewish people thrived in tolerant, Western societies, where they developed an extensive record of the Holocaust and financed its memory through museums, libraries, and films in particular.Since 2000 in fact, more than 40 documentaries and 20 feature films depicting the Jewish Holocaust were produced worldwide; several hundreds were produced since World War II.
Shedding light on the Holodomor has been gaining pace through efforts by Ukraine’s president Viktor Yushchenko, who has urged the international community to recognize the catastrophe as genocide.

Given the conclusively demonstrable link between gun bans and genocide in the last century; the UN's sickening support of genocide in recent years; and its current efforts toward a global gun ban, isn't this statement of Ban's just a tad insulting to the victims?
(Maybe this is just another test, in a long series of tests, to see how much lunacy we are willing to put up with?)

"Once Hitler had the general populace duped, he didn't need to take away their guns. If anything, it was too many guns and not enough rational thought that allowed Germany to descend into the madness that was the Nazi era."
This gentleman's letter misses the point: it's the victims that need guns, not merely the "general populace," which, as he correctly points out, descended into madness. The Jews mounted a brave and effective resistance in the Warsaw Ghetto uprising, with only a few pistols. Imagine what they could have done if better armed and trained. See Jews for the Preservation of Firearms Ownership for more info on the Warsaw uprising, and how the Nazi's perfected the gun control they inherited, inventing handgun control and using it to disarm Jews and anyone opposed to the Party.
This rationale for the need to arm victims can be applied to arming teachers. The teacher in the classroom, who may be a victim herself, will engage more quickly than an armed guard or police officer (remember Columbine?).

Helen learned to parachute and to assemble, fire, disassemble and clean the AK-47 when she attended high school in Ukraine. She did quite well making her point, that the feminist push for women in the military manifests itself primarily in socialist countries. (Capitalism, on the other hand, requires strong families.) Not that women shouldn't shoot--that's a separate issue. Since then she's taken a number of classes with me at Front Sight, where I'm a Bronze member.
