Ginsburg thought Roe was ethnic cleansing until Medicaid funding rejected by Supremes?

Ginsburgsnooze1 Stunning admission, stunning lapse in reasoning.

WND: Ginsburg: I thought Roe was to rid undesirables.

Question: Are you talking about the distances women have to travel because in parts of the country, abortion is essentially unavailable, because there are so few doctors and clinics that do the procedure? And also, the lack of Medicaid for abortions for poor women?

Ginsburg: Yes, the ruling about that surprised me. [Harris v. McRae – in 1980 the court upheld the Hyde Amendment, which forbids the use of Medicaid for abortions.] Frankly I had thought that at the time Roe was decided, there was concern about population growth and particularly growth in populations that we don't want to have too many of. So that Roe was going to be then set up for Medicaid funding for abortion. Which some people felt would risk coercing women into having abortions when they didn't really want them. But when the court decided McRae, the case came out the other way. And then I realized that my perception of it had been altogether wrong.

"Defiance" (Starring Daniel Craig) Awarded Golden W.Exie

Wexie World Examiner awards its prestigious, microscopic W.Exie (Serqet, depicted at left with crocodile on head) award, for best "Guns and the Right to Life" picture of the year to the movie "Defiance" starring Daniel Craig.

Seriously, this film is highly recommended, brilliant on many levels as it illustrates family loyalty, the need to bear arms in protection of life, dignity of women, and even dignity of the unborn.  Tremendous (all the more because it's TRUE) story of how the Bielski brothers saved thousands of fellow Jews and trained them to fight against the Nazis.  (I've heard of Jews fighting back in the Warsaw ghetto, but had not heard of the Bielski brothers and their fellow partisans, who fought in Byelorussia.)

The film is a MUST SEE for anyone reading this blog.  See trailers here.  And here:

Happy 4th of July!

Just got back from participating in Huntington Beach parade, second largest in the country, largest west of the Mississippi.  Man, seems to get longer every year.  I was walking ahead of the trucks carrying a Navy Jack (Don't Tread On Me flag).  I passed out several to enthisiastic NRA supporters in the crowd.  Brian, a vet who walks with a cane, carried the Stars and Stripes.  Babushka from Ukraine was in one of the trucks, along with my wife Helen and daughter Ayn, who wore their Kalashnikitty t-shirts.

This afternoon I'll go to the TEA party in Mission Viejo, then back to Ladera Ranch for a block party in my neighborhood where I'll be conducting free shooting lessons and setting up my mobile laser simulator.  Fireworks mixed in there too, along with our traditional Mel Gibson in The Patriot, dubbed in Russian.

Flash Point… Fr. John Corapi «

Flash Point… Fr. John Corapi «.
One of the inherent difficulties with a democratic republic is that it is only as good as the people in it. When a people lose their moral equilibrium, live in sin, and suffer the consequent loss of wisdom, then that nation’s days are numbered. Why? How have we come to this? It can be traced to the most compelling moral issue of our times, and we can’t escape from it, no matter how uncomfortable it is—abortion and other life issues. No matter what other rosy picture is painted by those that would have you believe all is well, God is not a disinterested spectator. Regardless of the high sounding rhetoric of the day, seeming progress in this or that area, it is an illusion. Nothing will ultimately go well for the United States or any other country until the injustice of all injustices is remedied. Until every human being is respected and reverenced, from the moment of conception to the last moment of natural life, no one will be safe and secure. Whether it is the helpless infant in the womb or the misguided and/or evil abortionist on the wrong end of a bullet, all deserve the safety and security of the law. Only God can in justice and wisdom decide when life begins and when life ends. When we attempt to usurp God’s job description we always come up short.

Surveillance Video Shows How to Get Charged with Murder

Surveillance Video: Ignatius Piazza: How to Get Charged with Murder….

Understand that - universally - you are only justified to use deadly force when your opponent shows the ability, opportunity, and intent to immediately inflict serious bodily injury to you or those around you. However, you are only justified to use deadly force to stop the threat. Once the immediate threat of serious bodily injury or death ends, additional use of force is no longer justified. Watch this very revealing surveillance video that shows a textbook case of justified use of deadly force that turns into a murder charge when shots are fired AFTER the threat has ended.

At the rate things are going, Pope Benedict XVI may find his next trip to the U.S. dogged by airplanes overhead trailing banners with images of aborted fetuses. O.K., that's a bit of hyperbole. But while several prominent conservative Catholics in this country are apoplectic over the University of Notre Dame's invitation of the pro-choice Barack Obama to give the school's commencement address on May 17, the Vatican has stayed completely silent on the matter.

A new study published by BMJ, which used to be known as the British Medical Journal, has documented a worsening problem on which WND has been reporting for 12 years: the domination of males in a Chinese society that encourages the abortion of unborn daughters. The new report says males under the age of 20 outnumbered females by more than 32 million and warned, "China will see very high and steadily worsening sex ratios in the reproductive age group over the next two decades." One of the authors, Therese Hesketh, told the Associated Press that translates into a huge threat of criminal activity.

Lawyer Draws Pistol to Prevent Violent Attack in Laguna Hills

LawNews.TV | Legal News: Estate Planning & Second Amendment.

If the volume is up on your speakers, you are now listening to an actual 911 call made by me at 4:33 p.m. on February 20, 2009, as I arrived at my office building. Unbeknownst to me, the building was in lockdown, and many eyes watched from upstairs (including, ironically, from the conference room where I would teach my monthly concealed carry class the next morning). Those eyes watched in horror as I approached to help a man I thought was having a seizure. For the first time in over five years of carrying concealed, I had to draw my weapon in self-defense. (Yes, like many I received notice of revocation from Orange County Sheriff Sandra Hutchens, but the license was fortunately still in effect.) Drawing to the low ready enabled me to withdraw from the situation unharmed. Thank God I did not have to shoot (which is probably why this was never reported). The facts here were fairly unique: Total stranger, appearing (SOLELY from the myspace page I later found) to be a Muslim with extreme political views, rails against Bush and the US; throws chairs and pushes guard while disturbing the peace at a university occupying a floor in the building; bashes his own head against a sign in the parking lot I pulled into just in time to see him having what I thought was a seizure. (I honestly wish him well; it's clear%

speculated on why a snake might be chosen as a symbol for America. First, it occurred to him that "the Rattle-Snake is found in no other quarter of the world besides America." The rattlesnake also has sharp eyes, and "may therefore be esteemed an emblem of vigilance." Furthermore, "She never begins an attack, nor, when once engaged, ever surrenders: She is therefore an emblem of magnanimity and true courage. ... she never wounds 'till she has generously given notice, even to her enemy, and cautioned him against the danger of treading on her." Finally, "I confess I was wholly at a loss what to make of the rattles, 'till I went back and counted them and found them just thirteen, exactly the number of the Colonies united in America; and I recollected too that this was the only part of the Snake which increased in numbers. ... "'Tis curious and amazing to observe how distinct and independent of each other the rattles of this animal are, and yet how firmly they are united together, so as never to be separated but by breaking them to pieces. One of those rattles singly, is incapable of producing sound, but the ringing of thirteen together, is sufficient to alarm the boldest man living."

Fifty-eight percent of Americans disapprove of Obama's decision to lift this ban, while only 35% approve of it. The ban on federal funds to these groups was put in place by Ronald Reagan, but lifted by Bill Clinton. George W. Bush re-instituted the ban after taking office in 2001, but Obama has once again lifted it.

Employers Walk on Thin Crust in Banning Self-Defense

Remember the BofA in Lake Forest that recently experienced a "takeover-style" robbery?  A pregnant customer went into labor contractions and a teller had to get a CAT scan after being pistol-whipped.  Shareholders will be very angry when justice catches up to reality in this area.

Thin Crust Self-Defense (LaPierre).

Chains like Pizza Hut and Domino's Pizza have rules forbidding delivery drivers from exercising their right to carry while on the job, even though delivering pizza can be a dangerous job (at least 15 drivers were killed in robberies in 2007.) That "no Right-to-Carry allowed" policy may be the reason that Pizza Hut driver Eric Devictoria was unarmed when he was robbed at gunpoint in Florida a few days ago. Devictoria had only one thing to use in self-defense: the pepperoni pizza he was supposed to be delivering. He threw the pizza box at his attackers … they fired a gun in return. Luckily Devictoria wasn't hurt, and police have taken three young men into custody. They're now facing armed robbery charges. Devictoria and thousands of other delivery drivers are facing more dangerous shifts, armed with nothing more than their wits and the pizzas that are the tools of their trade. If a driver is a licensed Right-to-Carry holder, why not let them carry on the job? Do these corporations really want to explain to the family of a driver who is killed that their defenselessness was actually a good thing?
